The Virtual Library medien buehne film unites the scientific parts of the two German Research Foundation funded special collection areas Communication and Media Studies / Journalism (SSG 3.5) and Theatre and Film Studies (SSG 9.3).In order to provide access to the individual disciplines as well as the interdisciplinary, ViFa medien buehne film has a four-tier structure. Choose between the following Collections from the Choose Portal menu option or from the four coloured areas in the header of the web site:
Entire Portal: Here you can search the Communication and Media, Theatre and Film Collections in all data sources.
Communication & Media: In Collection Communication & Media you limit your search to the data sources of Communication Studies, Journalism and Media Studies.
Theatre: In Collection Theatre you limit your search to the data sources of Theatre Studies.
Film: In Collection Film you limit your search to the data sources of Film Studies.
The Meta Search, Library Catalogues, Internet Resources, National Licenses, Journal Article Databases, E-Journals and Databases modules are available for each of these four Collections.
Meta Search
Meta Search allows you to simultaneously search the Library Catalogues, Internet Resources and Journal Article Databases modules. Correspondingly, you will find books and journals from libraries, Internet Resources from the World Wide Web and articles from scholarly journals in the results list.
